      This interest began when I read the book, Mosaic Renaissance: Millefiori in Mosaics by Laurel Skye. As time went on I slowly acquired inspiration and skills from books and online tutorials. I was able to bring my years of commercial and fine art into play as I practiced this new medium. An ambitious scheme of decoration was developed for these new areas: a series of mosaic figures depicting famous European artists of the Medieval and Renaissance period. These have now been removed to other areas of the museum. Also started were a series of frescoes by Lord Leighton: Industrial Arts as Applied to War – and Industrial Arts Applied to Peace, which was started .
